Questions on A-Fib

I dont think we are doomed lol, i've had this things my entire life and they are uncomfortable and make me freak out, but i dont think AAS has effected it much.

Just makes it easier to have one with the AAS in your body. AAS alters the HPTA which is what is controlling that adrenaline release.

As a survivor of 3 catheter ablation proceedures for A Fib / Flutter I can offer a unique viewpoint.
Nothing you do is causing it. There is several known triggers for the episodes including caffiene, ephedrine, testosterone, and all other androgenes. I'm not sure about IGF, of HGH.
I had my first episode about 20 years before I was diagnosed. I thought it was anxiety. It wasn't untill I had a SVT and a pulse of 272 (no shit) that I was hospitalized, and properly diagnosed. I didn't respond to medication very well, hence the ablation proceedures. I can't say enough about how much better my life is since then. I highly recomend it for anyone with reoccuring A Fib / Flutter.
I have to get to work. Good luck Bro. Feel free to PM me if you want to hear more.

my buddy who gets them had them happening before he ever did steroids. only thing i ever had was anxiety before steroids, but i think possibly like the guy said, the hpta is affected releasing more adrenaline when a panic attack occurs and then your in a vicious cycle until it stops or you calm down. i donno. i do wish to hear more.

You need to know if this is anxiety or A-Fib, or ST this will make a difference on how it is treated. They were trying to triger one with the stress test. (Was it a treadmill or dob. stress test). A-Fib is where the top part of your heart is not pumping efectivly, but the bottom is pumping fine. Like you said the risk is blood clots. People live for many years with this, you will need to be put on a blood thinner though for clots. ST or anxiety are sinus rythems but fast, and will not hurt you granted it is not in the 200's Ha! Fact is you are symtomatic and in a hospital setting we would have to treat you, what ever it is. just my 2cc

when on the holter they picked up one run for 3 seconds of 225, it was when i was downstairs checking emails and eating breakfast and got up to go upstairs to goto work. weird. it doesn't really happen unless im on the shit, however it may be happening but less noticable cause my heart isn't beating so hard. i know when i start drinking alcohol, i notice my heart will beat differently. but i usually don't pay attention to it. cause it's not really annoying me. fuck i donno

whats that bro?

But again, a rapid heartbeat and a-fib are two completely different things. Your pulse shooting to 225 for no reason in absence of a-fib is anxiety related. You said all tests came back normal right? So it is anxiety. They wouldn't give you xanax for a-fib....but they do for a panic attack.

Right now you have connected eating to the rapid heartbeat. So no matter what, every time you eat, your body is going to give you a surge of adrenaline because you think that your heart is going to start rapid firing. You get scared of something and your body produces the fight or flight reaction and amongst other things, secretes adrenaline. So what your brain is afraid of is having an episode like this.....and your body responds by releasing adrenaline....and it makes exactly what you don't want to happen, happen.

They perpetuate themselves. This can continue to get worse if you keep trying to find out "what is wrong with you", by staying in a state of anticipatory anxiety (that is fearing the next episode), and trying to fight when it is happening.

This is easier said than done, but you need to realize that it isn't dangerous and you almost have to welcome that feeling. If you feel your heart starting to race, almost challenge yourself by saying "is that all you got" or something to that affect. If it doesn't scare you, then it can't continue to happen. Because it is fear that makes it happen in the first place.

I can guess that you are probably about 21-25 right? It's about that age that guys start to realize their own mortality and the possibility of death, etc. It's also when you have to start living on your own, supporting yourself and maybe a family, etc.

Sorry for the long post. Get some things like l-theanine, valerian, or kava kava to keep you calm. Of course lifting helps, but so does cardio. It will help you get through this period and make it easier for you to realize that it is mostly an involuntary thing in your body and not something medically wrong.

Good luck bro.
