Question about training shoulders

Currently i train chest on monday and back/bi's on wednesday. i would like to train shoulders on friday but am worried that shoulders will be getting overtrained from my previous two days earlier in the week. any suggestions

this is what my routine looks like now

chest

incline 5x5
incline flyes 2x8-10
decline 2x8-10
dips 2x10

back
lateral pulldowns 5x5
one arm rows 2x8-10
seated cable rows 2x8-10

Your shoulders will NOT get overworked based on that workout. Shoulders make or break a physique as far as I am concerned. Train them like an animal.

I personally like the idea of training them at the end of the week for the simple reason that you rely on them too much for other pressing movements.

thanks for the advice guys. no, i don't do deads, i work out at a corporate gym and they aren't set up for it. i'm lucky they have the stuff that they do.

thanks again

Lose the decline bench unless you have an underdeveloped lower pec area. :)

Where is your legs day? It has to be done :)

Shoulders are essential. Make them a priority.

don't forget rope face pulls for rear delts. i think they're better than bentover flies:)

SLOE:fro: "that's wat im talkin' bout"

11 sets for chest and 9 sets for back? Remember the back is much larger than the chest.

As for delt work, I would recommend 6 to 9 sets maximum. Four movements for chest seems a little much to me.

punch --i usually throw those in on shoulder day

hammer- legs are on thursdays, also what would you replace the decline with?

louden swain- i was trying to follow the guidelines of needsize's 5x5 routine for chest, thats why the 2 sets with other movements, would maybe 3 movements work better. would more sets be recommended for back?

Thanks for your help guys
