One thing I never understood is this; let's say you're using an exercising bike and it reads you burned off 300 calories, is it the overall calories or is it just the calories in fat you're burning off?
I eat about 225 calories from fat per day and 1460 regular calories per day. Let's say I'm on a bike and my heart rate monitor reads I burn 300 calories, would it just be from fat or overall from all calories I eat?
The reason I'm asking is so I can figure out exactly how much cardio I need to do on a regular basis. I lost 15 pounds this summer by jogging 3 miles at 8 mph 5 times per week and in the past month I ALSO been on the elliptical at 2 miles with heart rate at over 130 on the machine five times per week after I jog. Seeing I'm happy where I am and no longer feel I need to do all of the extremely intense cardio to lose weight, I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to stay in place w/out gaining weight.
