Prevent Cravings

A study claims that glutamine helps w/ sugar cravings. Depending upon your size at least 500 mg is recommended. Some of my clients are using this w/ great success.

Is it OK to eat carbs before bed?
There has been a big debate brought up by someone I cant remember who because he had a scientific theory to say it was in fact productive. Depending on your goals, you may and may not do it.

If you are losing fat (cutting) then do not do it, especially simple carbs - unless its a post workout meal.
you risk them getting turned into fat.

Fruit protein shakes can help - or a protein bar with peanut butter flavor that meets your dietary requirements. whatever. just dont succumb- as you will never reach your goals. keep that in mind.
 
Whether it's ok to eat carbs before bed or not depends on your goals. If you're cutting, it can hurt you, but if you're bulking, it can help you a lot. It can give you and insulin release through the night and carbs to refill your muscles as they repair.
 
cravings

Normally when I feel sweet cravings before bed, this might sound disgusting to you, but I am tough with dieting, so you may or may not want to give this a try..

Use a small pan and pour your egg whites to cook... leave them covered on medium heat, and they will get fluffy... Flip it once and cover it again for a sec... put it on your plate and sprinkle it with some equal and some I can't believe its not butter spray. This usually cures me... If not try drinking as much crystal light as you can get into your stomach, and you won't want to look at food.

ps. Tang now makes a Sugar Free version, and this is thick and fills me up also... its very sweet as well!!
 
I usually use: ALL NATURAL PEANUT BUTTER 1-2tbsp. to cut carb cravings....depending on the diet: you can use some cheese on CKD, it seems to prevent a lot of the "chewy" cravings and pork-rhinds tend to cut out the "crunchy" craving.
On some diets (besides CKD), you can use sugar-free diet jello and/or pudding mix, and fat-free cheese. Also, pretzels do help too.
