I was hoping I can get some input regarding my diet. I enter my food intake on fit-day, and it just doesn't look right to me. I'm not sure if I'm just entering it wrong, or if I just don't eat enough "good" food.

I've cleaned up my diet, and have been working out on a regular basis. I'm in my 4th week of my new 'lifestyle' (I like to call it), and I think I'm doing pretty good so far. I feel great, I have a lot of energy, and my clothes are a little looser on me. I dropped 4lbs in the first 2 weeks, but nothing thereafter.

I need to work on my diet. I need ideas for lunch.

FAT-CARB-PRO

8am 4 egg whites & strawberries 1-10-1

1030am PB crackers 10-23-4

1pm Lean Cusine meal 7-32-20
Apple 0-21-0

330pm 4oz Gr Chicken 0-0-6

530pm- sometimes a 1/2 whey protein shake i dont have the %'s

8pm- Gr chicken w/ veggie 0-4-8

Cals- 736, Fat-19, Carb-92, Protein-52
F 24%
C 46%
P 30%

This just seems off to me!

more protein less carbs. more food total! up it to ATLEAST 1200 cals. if you are going to do pb crackers, get some all natural peanut butter and whole wheat crackers and make them yourself. i would also mix up breakfast some mornings with oats instead of eggs.

Besides the PB crackers, is everything else okay?

When you say oats, do u mean oatmeal?

yeah, just use that big box of instant oats or whatever and add splenda and strawberries or whatever you want. you also need a real meal at 530

We need your weight, height and approximate body fat along with how much you want to lose. Also post what you’re doing for a workout, lifting, cycling, running… whatever it may be and how often you do these activities. Are you taking any supplements? i.e BCAA's, Multi Vitamin, Glutamine, Fat Loss Pill.

I am 5'8 F, 141lbs. Give or take 20% BF

I work out 5 days a week.

2 of the days i take classes..it's a full body strength training class

the other 3 days I do 30mins cardio (treadmill) and I lift weights.

Right now I'm taking an EC stack.

My goal would be 13-15% BF accompanied with strong lean muscle

I get home from work at 530, and i usually have half a whey protein shake.
1 scoop whey, 1/4 scoop expresso. with ice & water. (i only drink 1/2 the shake, usually give the other half to the bf.) THen I work out from 6pm-730ish.
When I get home i cook dinner.

To begin with, at your height and weight you're eating less than half of what you need to. Your metabolism is going to grind to a halt, horde fat and burn muscle. You will NEVER see low BF on that diet with nice lean muscle. You'll end up skinny fat, looking and feeling awful. You're starving yourself. It is NOT possible to be taking in anywhere near sufficient nutrients eating anything like what you illustrated.

You need to get over to the women's forum here:

http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10

Before you make your first post, start reading the stickies at the top, about recommended diets and dietary approaches. The basic rule of thumb is clean foods (whole foods, not processed shit) no refined flours, sugars or breads.

The only proper meal you're having is your 8:00 p.m. meal, you should be having at least two or three like that (grilled meat/veg or salad), in addition to two or three other snacks/meals.

Throw out that damn Lean Cuisine SHIT, throw out the PB crackers, utter waste of calories.

Those are both great points. Eat too little and nothing goes the way that you hope it will. Eat too much crap - the Lean Cuisine as well as other calorie wasters - coupled with too little overall and nothing good can happen
