PL meet and my cycle???

Juice Junkie

I have a meet in Decmber and I am just coming off an 8 week cycle of which I had planned on taking 4-6 weeks off (I used all short esters) with the usual ancilaries. What I was wondering is with the competition coming up I am debating whether I should get off or continue on my next cycle and just run it through to the competition is over and then come off. I have always been a bodybuilder and a firm believer in cycling and off-time but I want to do well at this competition. Any thoughts?

I don't mean to be off topic but are you competeing in the USPF Southeastern Cup Powerlifting Championships on Dec 1st in GA? I plan to enter that meet as well. Just curious. This will be my first meet.

Good luck with your training and kick some ass in December!

I have absolutely no experience with AS, and since most of the other guys here don't like to talk publicly about it for their own reasons, I'll just tell you what I've heard. I have read that the most serious powerlifters will stay on year round with light doses, and then load up with ridiculous amounts of powerful androgens and testosterone during the few weeks preceding a meet. Since I'm assuming you're not extremely hardcore about this, you don't need to stay on for the next 2 months straight, especially after 8 weeks already. So I would say take 6 weeks off, and then start up again with some high doses of strong androgens 3 weeks before your meet.

Cheesepuss -- he's entering Kieran Kidder's APF Southern States meet Dec 1st in daytona beach, I believe. I will also be lifting in that meet. You should enter that one instead, last year he had about 70 lifters. Anthony Conyers, Beau Moore, Kenny Patterson all lifted in the meet. Garry Frank will be lifting at the meet this year also. I would expect to see at least 2 700+ benches, at least 1000+ squat, a couple 900squats, and maybe 3 800+ dl's.

Juice Junkie. Just bridge or stay on. 8 weeks aint shit. You will Pr all the way uyp to the meet. If you would have come off completelt by the first of Sept i would have. Its just bad timing. But your gonna do fine regardless.
