Opinions needed on leg endurance/strenght routine>

As the winter is approaching i am looking forward to stepping into my ski boots and stepping into my bindings. I have started this routine to get the endurance up in my legs but mainly quads.

10-20 min of 80% Heart rate reverse eliptical rider.

then:
a superset of:

leg extensions 10-15 reps

right to

leg curls 10-20 reps

right to

Walking lunges with 50lbs.

I repeat this tri-superset 3 times and finish off with 2-3 sets of Hack Squats.

What do you guys think?

whgere are the real squats;) . try for 20 reps on a normal squat and you will see the difference... I usually do wind sprints for leg endurance and explosive strength... besides that it looks okay...

Well i am thinking about throwing them in on another day, maybe only a set or two for 20-30 reps with lighter weights, what do you think?

Other than that i do hack squats because they can more accurately simulate my body position when snapped in my ski bindings.

why don't you do some running?

Dude i substitute running for the eliptical trainer, it's much more effective for leg endurance. Besides down hill skiing is all about the little half squats you do when carving left to right, running is of little use besides the cardio benefits. And cardio endurace on me is just fine.

I will need to get in shape for performing half squat type movements and one legged half squats when skiing 60mph down hill. Needless to say fatique and leg burning at that point will cause a fall, not fun:( at that speed.
