Ummm I was describing one (of many) of the clients I had back when I was a certified fitness professional (read = personal trainer). I had clients who wanted to become physically stronger in order to pass certain tests for their professions (one was a young woman who had lifelong battle with bulemia/anorexia. She was training to become an agent for the FBI. One was a much older woman who had already served her time in the air force [if memory serves correctly] now only in the reserves but still had to do her time twice per month. She was in her later 40's and had serious knee issues that we had to work around. BOTH WOMEN passed their physical requirements because they trained with ME.). I had clients who wanted to get their bodies back post partum. I had one client who was a retired high school principal. He had serious diabetes and developed pnuemonia twice in two years and had to be hospitalized - we are talking bed-ridden for months. As a result he gained MASSIVE amounts of weight. He was so big that he couldn't fit into most equipment and had gotten so weak that he wasn't physically strong enough to support his own weight. He couldn't walk or sit up for more than several minutes as a clip. And the list went on. These were my "typical clients". I never got ONE RED CENT from young jooseheads who had body dysmorphia so bad that no matter how big their biceps got, it was still never enough. They spent their money on MORE JOOSE, not a competent trainer.
I supported myself and my four kids for two years in that line of work so *mebbe* I know what I am talking about? I also tended bar for many MANY years on two different continents. I worked as anything from barback to tendril to manager.
I wasn't just "guessing" when I gave you advice. I was conveying first hand LIFE EXPERIENCE.
You're welcome.
