I love when people use EXTREME examples to get their point across LOL. a 45 year old guy with back problems? Id tell him to go fuck off :FRlol:
Fail.

You think only young, beautiful, fit people want to work out, you putz? Your bread and butter is potentially Mr. & Mrs. Couch Potato that the doctor told to drop 20 or 30 to get their BP and diabetes under control. They're the ones with the deep pockets who don't know where to begin in the gym.

As for telling your hypothetical client to "fuck off," I'm 44 and was born with all sorts of spinal problems. I've lifted since I was in my late 20s and have never hurt myself doing it. In fact, I have reduced my pain and improved my quality of life while managing to avoid surgery or heavy duty daily drugs.

but glad, thats what seperates great trainers from bad and average trainers.

get trainers do care about the old people, fat people, ect. they get in it because they like to help people and see people make changes.

they actually care about clients progress and treat them as if they are just individuals who want to achieve goals and better themselves.

i myself am learning how to DJ now and going to do that in college. on the side getting certified so i can PT as well. not until im big enough though.

if you don't like a client then drop them man.

its what my buddy had to do a couple of times and the fucker is huge as hell.

make sure you have a strong connection with your clients.

they wont all be cute girls bro.

I think in the nine years I have been training people I have had about five clients I would actually say were hot enough to risk losing their money to bang them.

Now, the other employees usually consist of young, flirty girls with incredibly tight asses who love to party. Especially the front desk girls. They are the ones you want to tag.

Best post ive seen so far

How do you like personal training brotha

Definitions of putz on the Web:
* (Yiddish) a fool; an idiot
* cock: obscene terms for penis

So I called you an idiot and a dick in one word. Works for me :D

As for the fucktard comment, gotta say I'm almost a little proud of you, Princess, you not only spelled it correctly you actually managed to use a word that has more than one syllable and use it both gramatically and contextually correct! Good show! Keep that up and you'll be wearing big boy pants in no time, you absolute waste of oxygen and natural resources.

Look, go cheer yourself up, go flex in a mirror, maybe jerk off to a picture of yourself, then come back here on the board, post pictures, and seek more approval from anonymous people, you pitiful child.

Ummm I was describing one (of many) of the clients I had back when I was a certified fitness professional (read = personal trainer). I had clients who wanted to become physically stronger in order to pass certain tests for their professions (one was a young woman who had lifelong battle with bulemia/anorexia. She was training to become an agent for the FBI. One was a much older woman who had already served her time in the air force [if memory serves correctly] now only in the reserves but still had to do her time twice per month. She was in her later 40's and had serious knee issues that we had to work around. BOTH WOMEN passed their physical requirements because they trained with ME.). I had clients who wanted to get their bodies back post partum. I had one client who was a retired high school principal. He had serious diabetes and developed pnuemonia twice in two years and had to be hospitalized - we are talking bed-ridden for months. As a result he gained MASSIVE amounts of weight. He was so big that he couldn't fit into most equipment and had gotten so weak that he wasn't physically strong enough to support his own weight. He couldn't walk or sit up for more than several minutes as a clip. And the list went on. These were my "typical clients". I never got ONE RED CENT from young jooseheads who had body dysmorphia so bad that no matter how big their biceps got, it was still never enough. They spent their money on MORE JOOSE, not a competent trainer.

I supported myself and my four kids for two years in that line of work so *mebbe* I know what I am talking about? I also tended bar for many MANY years on two different continents. I worked as anything from barback to tendril to manager.

I wasn't just "guessing" when I gave you advice. I was conveying first hand LIFE EXPERIENCE.

You're welcome. :)
