Oatmeal

I just started eating oatmeal on monday. I eat about a cup or two each day. Since ive started, i feel bloated and full all the time. Like the oatmeal just sits in my gut and never digests.

Its an odd feeling, like a cup of oatmeal has something like 150cals so I know you should eat more. But this fills me up more than a large supper

Should I stop eating this? Does it take a week to diegest or what?
 
Oatmeal is really high in fibre and could easily sit in your small intestine for a decent while. If you havn't eaten much oatmeal/high fibre food up until now you should probably ease into it with half cups at a time. I have never been able to handle lots of oatmeal, so I just eat alot of smal servings throughout the day. Try grinding it up and mixing it into protein shakes, eating small servings as snacks etc. If you try this you should be able to get the fibre you need without the puffy brick in stomach feeling. Oatmeal truly does stick to the ribs!
 
hahah thanks man. I thought i was just really fcuked up. But i guess its normal.

Just a question....should i be sh!ting like mad any day now?
 
LOL, It took me about 3 days to really start noticing a difference in my "shitting patterns". Expect the results of your newly found colon cleanse to manifest themselves in 2-3 days. Remember to up your water intake.

As an addition, you could try raw steel cut oats, they are more crunchy, and didn't sit nearly as heavy as rolled.

I hope you mean a cup cooked. If you count calories 1/2 c. uncooked is 150.
