not impressed with my chest development

i am 5ft 10 173ibs 12%bf.i started out at 139ibs,in less than a year i have gained nearly 4o pounds!but i have a fustration my chest is lagging behind big time.i have amazing arms 15inch and huge delts,but nothing i do for my chest seems to work.the inner part wont grow,it has no meat around there,the only part responding is the side of the chest,the lower chest does not fold over to form that shape that is endearing.you know there is no proper cut between that and the abs.i dont know what to do.it just makes me sad.i need help pls
 
What does your current chest routine look like?? There isn't any magical way to dictate the shape of your muscle(thats up to the wonderful world of genetics), you can only change the size. I keep it simple with my chest

Barbell Press
Incline DB Press
Incline DB Fly

I'm the exact same stats as you. The best way to develop the chest for me, is to hit it from a variety of angles. Flat bench, inclines, declines, flys, and dips. Pyramid the weight, and dont discount genetics. Chest is one of my best/easiest parts...but legs:(( LOL
 
Give it some time, you should know that patience in weight lifting is the key. I also like the cables or some machines that give tension all the way through the movement, really seemed to help isolate the mid chest and poke it out more. Keep it up, sounds like you're doing great!!!
 
well,i am trying my best ,but it just makes me sad,i hardly train my legs and they are already at 24 inches,my arms also and they are 15in,the annoying bit is my delts they are so huge,,i see smaller people with better chest development and they dont work half as hard,its sickenning,what can i do ,especially the inner part and also that folding over of the lower parts?or is the key to put on more weight?
 
I have the same problem, my chest is under developed compared to the rest of my body. My chest has grown over the years but it is not where I want it to be. What i have learned is it is not weight but form and actually feeling the muscle working. If you have bigger delts then that is what might be taking the brunt of the load when lifting and not allowing enough stimulation to spurt growth. Remember to rock your shoulders back and stick out your chest, really concentrate on working the muscle and not worrying about weight. I do pyramids and drop sets and really blitz the muscle, while concentrating on taxing it at the same time.
 
AWW CHEST.... lots of people with this problem dont arch there back when benching..
the only thing touching the bench should be your shoulders and your ass....
dips work really good with your legs infront of you knees pulled forward....
decline... can you feel your chest when you lift.. or do you feel it mostly in your shoulders???????
genetics is also a big factor post a pic.... so we can see your chest....
try doing bench with you back really arched butt and shoulders only touching the bench
or do incline..... try doing bench and imediatly fallowing do flies... make them one set
do 3 sets see what you think... most of the meat will be on the outside though..of your chest....
