one of my buddies wants to start really making an effort to lose some flub.. His stats are
height: 6'3"
weight: 320
bf: ????
very little training experience.

What would you guys recommend for him to start losing weight...

He does not weight train at all, what would be a good cardio/weight training schedule...

What about am cardio

Thanks-

He should start the weight training and hittin ghte cardio pretty hard.
1-2 bodyparts a day, light, not too intense, followed by cardio each time. Cardio on off days as well. Doings abs will shed some flub off as well. His diet needs to be somewhat strict... low carbs and fats, high protein. a 60/20/20 would be ideal IMO

I agree with wizkid, but if he's really serious bout losing weight, id do cardio in the morning on empty stomach, and again after weights. Id also stress the cardio more than weights. What you put in your mouth is key, you really gotta watch what you eat

i am following a 5x5 program, is that ok for beginners. I have been training for so long i have forgotten what it is like to be new to the iron game... I dont want to have him do the wrong thing...
