Need to drop 15lbs in 4 weeks?????

Hey guys well I took all of your advices for training over my weight but I need a way that I can drop 15lbs over a 4 week period. I have to weigh in 45minutes before the meet. And I CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE STRENGTH. The Mann I know you posted a way which was to drop carbs and up protein i've been doing that for 2 days havn't really seen a diff I've been eating 119carbs/day 25fat/day and 250protein/day. 5meals a day and I started doing some jump rope in the morning. Now here's the problem I drink water and my body is used to intaking 3 gallons a day. NO BULLSHIT. ever since I took creatine my body asks me for more water. PLJAY i know you told me bout carb depleting I tried that for one day and lost 2lbs but felt week throughout the day so I don't know about that one. Does anyone know how I can drop this weight and I'm going to have to keep it off for 6 weeks.

I ordered the book by J.M. Blakely on weight manipulation last week it hasn't came in yet so I'm waiting for it. Any ideas is appreciated

Here's the best advice I can give:

you're too young, don't do it. With only 45 minutes before weigh in you won't have the time to get your fluid back. These guys are experienced lifters and they have a min. of 24 hours after the weigh-in before they have to lift. Just curious, but why do you HAVE to lose 15lbs?? Lift at the bigger weight and get bigger lifts for now.

I have to agree with 1-dawg. Since it is still your first comp and your not "overweight" you should just try to get your lifts up and stay in this weight class.

Well it's not actually competition it's a High School meet, but I don't want another kid younger than me beating me. There's no way I'm gonna let that happen so I have two alternatives 1)compete in a lower weight class or 2)not compete in my first meet at all. And either way I'll feel kinda pussy, but it's better than getting beat by some 16 yr old. On top of that I know I should lift heavy for heavy weights but I figured just for these HS meets it wouldn't really hurt me that bad. Plus I only do a pause bench and then clean&jerk.

Who will think you are a pussy if a younger kid beats you?? WHat will you do in a regular meet if someone show up and beats you?? There is always someone stronger out there. Hell even garry frank is out squatted, out benched or out dl'ed. You will be acting the part of a pussy if you bail out. You will find out if you have any balls if you just go ahead and enter.

screw anybody else.

go out there and compete against YOURSELF..... beat your self and you will walk away happy?

oh one more thing.... is there a weight class above yours?.... why not eat carbs untill you bust and be huge in that class?

For years I would go from 165lb to 195lb and back. At 5'6 this wasn't always pleasant but I would torture myself. Now that I don't diet but maintain my gains are more constant. I don't know your age but I am assuming you are not over 18. You will grow like a weed if you continue to train but if you start dieting you will be stopping all your muscle growth. Who cares if someone in your weight class or younger than you beats you? Train, be consistant and in the future while everyone is still dieting come back and pound them. I'm pretty sure the powerlifting greats didn't win every meet in the begining and look at Coan. He didn't wake up one day and compete at 242.

If you must diet ( you will lose strength ) something that always worked for me is not only dieting by cutting carbs but the timing of your meals. Wake up in the morning and do 30 to 40 minutes light aerobics to save muscle tissue. If you can't talk easily you are doing the aerobics to intense. Don't eat for at least 30 minutes after you have finished. Stop eating 3 hours before you go to bed and minimize the carbs if any. Then 1.5 hours before you go to bed do another 30 minutes of aerobics. D0 NOT EAT ANYTHING BETWEEN THE NIGHT AND MORNING SESSIONS. Keep your water intake high and the weight will melt off.

I agree with 1 dawg. With only 45 minutes till lift off forget it. I have time to rehydrate. If i was you i would lift at what you weigh. Dont worry about getting beat by someone younger. Fuck if he out lifts you , he out lifts you so what. Theres this dude at my gym he is 17 and benches 425 raw at 200 lbs and his brother is 16 and benches 400. They would beat most kids, i know they would me when i was that age. YOu will lift better and more if you lift heavier. I think if you quickly dropped weight you would be disappointed in your lifts even more. Then we would have to hear you cry about it! Just kiddin bro! But you got build a book case before you can start stcking books on it. Get a foundation and dont short change your self by acting like a season pro getting ready for the WPO!

Cubanito17, i have a way that you can lose that unsightly 15 pounds in less than 4 minutes instead of 4 weeks!!! Cut off your head!!...Your brain doesnt work anyway!!
