need help with glutes

New member
Hey everyone.!!!!.I am new to the board and this is my first thread. I have a question.

I am lacking a bit in the glutes department.

I am wondering if there are any exercises specifically to help that area grow a bit.

I know that squats are good and they help a bit butt they do not help me that much. I get bigger thighs with squats instead.

Any suggestions?

welll....I was eating a very clean diet, no carbs after a certain hour, high protein with good carbs during the day.
But in the past month, or two I have slacked off big time and I put on about 10-15 pounds.
I still have the muscle that I gained underneath, though. I went off the clean eating ( I was stressed out about a situation with my boyfriend) and started eating junk.

It's amazing how quickly your body wants to put on the fat after you worked so hard to get it off.

Anyway, I am about 5'7 and I now weigh between 145-150 but about 2 months ago I was about 135 and very lean.

Thanks for the advice.

question revised

I think that my question needs some revision.

I don't want to tone my behind, I want to get a bigger one. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to achieve my goal.

Thank you.

Doing squats will do that..and if you get your diet in line you won't get huge legs...

Ive never felt soreness in my glutes like I do today from playing football w/the family on Christmas!!! I squat everyweek and there never this sore.....Im hurting in places I didnt even know I had muscles

i've never seen such crap advice to a simple question in all my life.

deadlifts, deep deep lunges, squats again the deeper the more u bring in the butt in, good mornings and u can also directly attack the butt by attaching a cable to ur ankle and raising ur leg backwards.

next time guys before 'free associating' why not read and answer the question thats what these boards r for.

reg: the flat butt...

spatts...
are u saying you can't turn a "flat" butt into a sorta' "bubble" butt???? my ass ain't FLAT, but it is kinda' small...will heavy squats eventually give me an ass to die for? :D

Well guys, thanks for the advice.
My quads do not round out a lot to the sides but I have no hips and then there is a little round out and then my quads start. It looks funny to me but I don't know.

I am doing legs tomorrow. Last week when I did legs I felt like I was going to barf afterwards. I am now working out with my sister ( a good partner) and she wants to get into a routine so I am going to help her with her diet and heavy lifting. (although noone is perfect I have to honestly say that she has some work to do but I want to help her because I want her to feel better about herself.

I am going to do the suggested exercises in my leg workout. I may also just have to face the fact that I have small hips and a tiny bum.

Thanks again and I don't mind your sharing of our pms spatterson

Bunny:) :D
