My slightly modified WS lifting routine (how does it sound?)

I don't doubt your experience....and I'm sure your advice is valid. I don't enjoy thrashing newbies; this guy has known about WS for about a day now. In light of that, I'd say his routine wasn't half bad. That's not to say you can't give him your (good) advice. :)

I guess training them on Squat or Bench days is a matter of preference. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't train them on all 4 unless two of those were recuperation oriented.

As for DL....yes I see your point. You're right.

Its trial and error. Just do your research and ask questions and you will get it sooner then you think. West side is complicated to a person new to the whole thing. But once you grasp the concept of why, then its gravy.

If you really wanna learn pm 1dawg cause he has been doing westside for awhile and is friends with Bob youngs so he gets special info! Ask him a few questions it will be worth it to you.

Yes Bob is an expert at training, I train with him. One thing about dips is that I don't think they are done anymore because of the shoulder problems that they can cause. I would say to read the Periodization Part 2 article about 5 times and you will understand the basics of Westside training. It might take awhile for it all to sink in.
