My first attempt at training like a strongwoman...

Okay...here goes. I got a workout program that should help me focus on the muscles that I really need for the strongwoman contests. I am going to compete in May for the first time ever.

I have a feeling I am going to get laughed at when I post this...but just bear with me. It was my first time. Hopefully they will get better after this...lol.

Deadlifts 3 sets of 8

15 X bar
8 X 135
8 X 185
8 X 205

Shrugs 3 sets of 8
135 lbs

Glute Ham Raises
2 sets of 10 (OUCH)

Seated Rows 3 sets of 8-10

2 sets with 90 lbs
1 set with 100 lbs.

Bi curls (bb) 4 sets X 6-8 ( I have REALLY weak bis...so go ahead and laugh)

Bar
55 lbs. for the last 3 sets

Weighted Abs

I tried to do the dumbbells like the farmers walk. I grabbed the 80 lbs db and took a really hard stroll around the gym with them. That was a lot of weight for me...good gosh.

Okay....that is it. Nothing too impressive. Just figured that I would post it up to get some criticism or motivation...whichever one you all feel like giving.
 
Well, I am going to do what I can with what I have. I dont' have a tire...I do not have atlas stones...I don't have a log.

I am going to push my car in the parking lot once a week, though. I am also using dumbbells for farmers walk. I don't have much to work with...but I will do what I can.

My boyfriend has stones (only one that I can lift, though). He also has a tire that is too heavy for me...lol. I can't do his daggum log either.

I am going to have to get some stuff together.

If I could see him every weekend then I could get my event training in. Somethings gotta give.
 
That's pretty impressive training, unfortunately my gym is all the cardio bunnies, no females that actually train hardcore.
The other day there was a lady benching over a plate per side (135) for good sets of ten, we were so impressed we all wanted to bow.

that is an actual site to see in my gym as well.
 
You've got my respect fly, the only thing the girls at my gym lift is their chests for the guys as they play with the little pink weights or use the abductor machine.
 
Heck yeah girl!!! I tell you that you will pull 315 in no time...for reps. Wear your Chucks next time though.

Holy shit....

God Damn,
Night Fly you are a lot more hardcore than many of the guys at the gym and definitelty have more determination. One thing though, how come no squats and military presses? Aren't they essential to strength developement? Just helping out, damn I was gonna take today off but now that I read this post its time to do some squats.
 
This was her back routine...train hams with both legs and back.

Hehe...you are funny! Thanks for the compliments, though. I definitely try hard in the gym. I love it....it gives me a natural high! :) Hope you didn't skip out on your workout! :)

And B fold was right...that was my back day...

I will post my other two workouts when I do them. One should be up tomorrow when I get home from the gym.
