i am new to board been lifting for 2yrs. curious about women on dc training. i started this wk felt missing something. i walked out of gym feeling like i had used half the energy usually do. my w/o have always been what i would call intense, heavy and slow. maybe i am just going into volume withdraws but 1 set does not seem enough. not that i am knocking that one set. i wobbled away from the leg press as if i had just completed my 4th set. i guess i also am alittle afraid of picking up more weight (fat). just started trying to lose 6 months of weekend drinking and pancakes. diet was still strict during that time. i even gained some mass guess i was not getting enough cal to start w. i dont want to have to increase cardio because of dc trng. i never had to do much. just started adding 1 time a week to shed pncks and alchol. was hoping diet chng would be enough. well i guess used this question as a introduction but i was really just wonder how intense people who are making gains worked out before starting dc trng. anyone picked up fat?

i picked up some fat, but that wasnt due to my workout. i wasnt doing cardio before and didnt do any during.

it will take some getting used to to get DC training to get you feeling wore out. you really learn to push yourself, when you have to beat weight/reps every time. first week or 2 you are still learning the protocol, once the initial honeymoon is over....its a rough ride. be sure to take a week off to "cruise" on intensity after about 6-8 weeks of going hardcore. your body will thank you if you do and tell you about it if you dont. trust me, i know.
