Low libido in woman

This is my very first time posting on this forum. I was referred here by someone who posts at another forum and she said that perhaps I could recieve some good answers here. My wife has been diagnosed by her doctor as having low testosterone. The problem is we have tried just about every supplement there is that says it will make you more sexually excited and it has not worked. We have four children and will not be having any more. We have tried the dating thing and taking time for ourselves and no improvement. Her doctor prescribed her the andorderm patch which delivers 2.5mg of test a day but she only gave her four of them and told her to take them one per week. It did not work. My wife went back to the doctor and the doctor will not prescribe her anything else and I know there are other things out there. We have decided to go solo on this and try something ourselves. So the question is what do you women take that has increased your sex drive with the least side effects? This is not for enhancement of her body at all. She is 29 years of age. She can still have an orgasm, the drive to have sex though is not there. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You're girls doctor is on the right track but he's way short with his dosing. Most women with low test/low sex drive problems need 5-6mg/day of test gel and that's if they are using it on their inner thigh to get the highest uptake. She needs to find a doc who will give her a higher dose and make sure she is applying it right. Screw that patch thing, get the gel.

Good point, Rez. Anything with hot curry sauce gets my mojo workin'.

:lmao:

Couldn't resist...

spatts! nah seriously... i know when im hungry or low-carbing it aint goinna be happening! and if im stressed... no chance!

it could be as simple as assessing your lifestyle..overtraining, undereating or stress can all contribute!

The androgel definitely works if you get the dosing right as Ulter said but if you are paying for it out of pocket instead of insurance the methyl T or the halo at 1-2mg/D would be more cost effective.

Low libido/low testosterone can result from pregnancy (stirred up hormones) and child-raising (stress and tiredness), which she has been through 4x. If by chance she is on hormonal birth control, this alone can be a libido killer, and libido can remain dead long after the Pill is stopped too. Have your wife check out this excellent site about female sexuality/low libido: http://newshe.com/ This site also has a discussion board.

Based on what you said, find a new doctor. Anyone who won't try more than one solution for such a personal and very important problem is showing complete disregard for the patient. At least the doctor did admit she had low test, I've heard stories where a woman's free test was 0.0, and the doc said that was ok!

I'd recommend finding a doctor who works with a compounding pharmacy. Go to this site and they'll send you a list of docs in your area: http://womensinternational.com/requestdoctor.html

A compounding pharmacy uses bioidentical hormones in dosages tailored for the individual patient, rather than the commercially produced hormones like Premarin which are made from horse urine and unsuitable for many women. Good luck!

Let me say that I appreciate all the help. It is hard ,without going into alot of long drawn out detail, to explain the things we have tried but to make a long story short, it is not the diet. All this has occurred after having the children. There was a time right after she had the last one that she wanted to do something but could not due to the delivery being so recent. This lead us to believe it is chemical. She did not have this problem before the children. We have tried the taking time for ourselves routine and it is not that. I am framiliar with the use of AAS and have researched to a pretty good extent. I do know of the websites spoken above. I have found many different options however if I go alone insurance will not cover. We filed a complaint against the doctor, not a he but a she. The next available appointment they said with a female doctor would be in Jan of next year. All this just to get a second opinion from my health insurance provider. To add injury to insult my health care provider compounds a testosterone cream as well. It is like they are dangling a cookie and saying we cannot have it. I say screw them all and here I am now. Halo and Methlytest are they not very androgenic with severe side affects? I would prefer the androgel but the only way I could obtain it is through a prescription and that is not happening anytime soon. Thanks again for the help. By the way Magdelena, nice ass.

I'm here.....Not much I can add except that you WANT something androgenic. That's what boosts the libido which is why taking something with low sides such as oxandrolone is a waste of money. Try 2mg per day of Methyl-T and see how she goes. If that doesn't work then I don't know that throwing expensive androgel at the prob will help. Androgel is less libido boosting and you need more to be equally effective. It's expensive if you can't get it on insurance.

Low level Test!!

I vote for 1/10th of a cc of 200 mg Cyp once a week, first couple of weeks to try it out.
If she can handle that with out sides, (acne, hair loss, voice dropping,) I'd go 2x a week.
That's a Dr. Scruggs fix, and it works, very well!
