Looking For Some Ways To Add Calories To The Diet

Hey everyone! I want to start adding more calories to my diet. My protein intake has been good enough to make some good gains recently, but calories could be much better. Lately the bulk of my diet has been 1/2 gallon of milk, string cheese, cold cuts, peanut butter, protein shake, and maybe one actual sit down meal. That meal can range from 4 cheeseburgers from mcdonald's to macaroni and cheese, or just about anything else. Sometimes I go weeks without cooking. I just eat out of the refridgerator I have here on my desk. After eating the items I mentioned, its not hard to reach 200 grams of protein, but the calories are still very low. These foods are mostly protein, so thats the problem. I need some extras to add in. Id go with a gallon of milk but I have to get the lactaid brand and it gets too expensive. I havent tried the Lactaid Ultra pills yet. I know flax seed oil is good for adding extra calories. Anything that doesnt need to be cooked is even better. All feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Go and buy yourself a couple loaves of whole grain bread and 2 big jugs of natty peanut butter...........get the chunky kind and make yourself eat at least 3 sandwhiches a day.............1 after your 1st, 3rd, and one as the last meal before you get in the sack...............

Awesome brother! Do they make chunky natty? Never saw it before. Thats a good idea brother. Sometimes Ill eat 3 at once, but thatll be a meal. Like the idea of splitting them up. Is whole grain as good for bulking? Ive always used white. Whole grain is probabally better, just never made the switch. ThanX again brother!!

The taste is something you may not like, but I stay away from all white products, pasta, breads, just because they have been stripped of all their nutirents..............get wheat or oat or flax bread.........much better man.

Always bring with you some mixed nuts and eat them throughout the day

It's full of good fat, some proteins and vit + minerals and high in calories

Hey WB!! I thought all the small animals you consumed would be enough.....

Maybe it's time to move onto bear??

(j/k wit ya)

You can always bulk up your protein shake a bit. Throw in some oats, flax, anpb, etc. You can easily double or triple the calories in your shake and not have to cook a thing.

Nuts will work too. I always have walnuts, almonds and peanuts on hand.
