Can heavy lifting cause your hormonal cycle to get longer? My last period started on the 6th of December, now I was waiting for it and it didn't come .. Did a pregnancy test this morning, which fortunately came out negative, and my period just started moments ago Anyway, 35 days in between is very long, and the period in November started on the 3rd, so also last time my hormonal cycle was long (33 days). Usually I don't have very regular menstruations, somewhere between 27 and 31 days. In October I started doing heavy legtraining, could this cause the 'problem' (don't get me wrong, as long as I don't get pregnant, I like less periods ) Does anyone recognize this? BTW I have a normal fat percentage (around 20%) and eat about 125% of my energy usage.
Apart from this I feel that since I've been taking three spoons of flaxseed oil a day, my pain from my periods (that always has been very little anyway) disappeared completely! Maybe a good idea for women who are suffering from heavy pains every month?
