Lettuce...

A pound of romaine lettuce is $1.49. I figure I can have 2.2 oz. servings or so a day, so it'll be done in roughly a week. Is this okay? It's not a lot, but I don't know how many green leafy veggies I should have a day.

3-4 cups at least.

I can eat 4-6 cups easy per day.

spinach
broccoli
bok choy
cucumbers
zucchini
asparagus

How can you eat a lot of lettuce ?

It is tasteless... and so boring

well I use a little bit of dressing on some of it.

the other amount I eat with meat ( on la tortilla wraps, etc)

Buy romaine.

Break off the leaves whole and put some canned tuna or salmon on it and roll up like a tortilla.

Yummy

Okay, so a head of romaine lettuce I found to be $1.5. Probably like 4 tons of it for $5 at Costco, but that I'll find out next time I go.

Anyway, a pound is 16 oz. You eat a pound of lettuce a day, or close to?

How much is 3-4 cups?

I can probably do without it, really. Not going to suddenly tack 10 years onto my lifespan. Still, if it's able to fit into my budget and has enough benefits I'd do it. Maybe tomatoes are a better choice. ;)

can someone explain to me why greens are important by the way, i know they have lots of vitamins and monerals but what exaclty does all of that do?
