I just continue to "slowly" climb the slope that have designed especially for the goals I set out to achieve, which I plan on peaking around mid-July. I'm not in hurry and I'm not going to do anything out of haste and throw a wrench into the machine, which will make the machine malfunction.
I started my cycle, which I think I mentioned a little about. I started out with low doses in order to get the most out of the drugs and gradually build muscle with that dose. Once hormonal adaption occurs and my body composition has become stagnant I will up my doses in conjuction with upping my protein and carb intake. Steroids taken correctly can increase protein synthesis; they work by stimulation of receptor molecules in muscle cells, which activate specific genes to produce proteins. They also affect the activation rate of enzyme systems involved in protein metabolism, thus enhancing protein synthesis and inhibiting protein degradation.
With the enhancemnet of protein synthesis via steroids I will gradually up protein intake to 75 grams every 2 1/2, 6-8 meals a day. I don't believe that myth about the most protein one can take is 50 grams every 2-3 hours; through my own experience, if I gradually up protein intake by letting my body grow through adaption and not overloading my system all at once I will eventually be able to utilize large amounts of protein at one time, which is what I want to pack on quality muscle, and simultaneously lose body fat. Roids increase nitrogen retention by allowing for better utilization of the nitrogen ingested protein. In order for a person to accumulate extra muscle mass, their body must be in a state of positive nitrogen balance; more nitrogen must come into the body than is lost. In other words, if you are a competitve BB and are looking to pack on muscle, and you engage in vigorous weight training you will make it your business to take in protein every 2-3 hours to keep in a "anabolic state." In conclusion, in my opinion if you are trying to be a competitve BB you should incorporate nitrogen rich food throughout the day and night, in order to pack on quality muscle. Now, this is a "process" that does not happen overnight, which is why many start the race and few finish. Just my opinion, it does not matter to me what another man does nor the manner he does it in.
Trained legs today. The gym was empty, which was expected on a Sunday; so I cranked up Zeppelin and murdered my quads. I mixed things up just a bit. Instead of squatting first I did leg presses, which worked out well because my legs were nice and warmed up to do heavy squats. I did 12 sets for quads and 6 sets for hams @ sort of high velocity and high reps, which got the blood flowing and gave me a nice pump.. No need to be an extremist, there are enough them to go around. I like to look at myself as being an artist and not a weekend warrior!
It's all good, the Marines have landed...
