Ladies & men what do you do ?

I guess this is more of a women's question.

I don't know many men who know how the female body responds or adapts, but will gladly take advice from the guys.

When your lifting weights, like me, I lift a certain amount of weight for 4 weeks. Then I add 5 lbs. to my current lifting weight and repeat that for 4 weeks, & keep doing that.

I change my sets, reps, & exercises every 4 weeks too -

Here is my problem: What do I do when I can't lift anymore weight, I can't imagine one day ever being able to lift like 80 lbs. for biceps ?

if I can't, will my gains come to a complete halt once I reach that day ?

Advice, suggestions ? Shold I be upping them by 5lb. every 4 weeks ? should I work with the same weight for longer than 4 weeks ?
or should I bring the weight down ?

I know you should always try to keep your muscles guessing ?

Thank again !

The longer you train the harder it is to get that last rep/pound.

As you start out, of course you keep going up. Gains are harder and harder the more you train. Hell I fight for weeks just to add a couple of nickles now.

You can always resort to drugs to start adding significanat lbs again.

I try to add up weekly or every other week, but sometimes I just can't get beyond a certain point........

I tend to plateau at max around 40 lbs on individual bicep work. So I work to ensure that my form is perfect & my reps are tight. If I'm maxed out, I"ll look to change to cables or barbell / ez bar or somethign different. When the weight is no longer something I can vary, I"ll look for different forms, different exercises, diff rep ranges, supersets, etc.
