both my 3 yo son and my 1 1/2 yo daughter LOVE my protien shakes. Is sis harmful to them to have a small glass at bfast, like instead of choco milk or oj with their cereal. It is just protien, I know, but I want to make sure it's not too harsh for their tummies.

What else is in the protein??

It's just elite whey chocolate flavor. I'm not exactly sure. Wow, that's a scary thought, I've been putting this in my body, but never REALLY looked at the ingredients. Hmmmm........

I give my son a shot, that's like 2 ozs daily. He can't get anymore than that, only because of the price, lol. Seems to soothe him.

Unfortunately, my kids are little piggies. When I make my shake, they stand around me with their mouths open making noises until I pour it into glasses for them and make myself a new one. They aren't constipated or having digestive problems, so I assume it's okay. But if it's not, then I'll lock myself in the bathroom and chug it down.

I would assume it's better for them than sugary nestle quick, especially if I put berries or a banana in it for them, right?

Yeah I had several customers come into the store that gave there kids whey protien. As long as they don't have a problem digesting it they should be fine and it is for sure better then nestle or any of that junk.

I can't see how it could be harmful -- and I would agree it's better for them than junk food - especially if you put fruit in it. Can you make a call to their pediatrician, maybe talk to the nurse & just ask?? Or maybe look it up on Google??

I found this on my first search:

Children: Because whey protein stabilizes blood sugar, it has been effective in improving the attention of children, particularly those afflicted with ADD and ADHD.

Toddlers: Whey protein isolate is composed of the same basic proteins that are found in human breast milk, making EnergyFirst Shakes the perfect meal for young children.

*Only those with an allergy to milk proteins should avoid whey protein.
