I think at this stage, there is a will amongst the Uppers to put a stamp on Karma for whatever reason. Digger has made several posts lately about it and I'm inclined to expect that another change is in the offing along with the introduction of Chairman types and an increased number of items in the store. Whether we cooperate or go kicking and screaming into the new schemes is up to us.

Having rampant K inflation makes a mockery of the store prices. Many here will recall when a few thou to bomb someone was not to be taken lightly. Now a bomb is no biggie at all to many. If new items are coming into the store then I can understand a feeling that there is need to have inflation restrained.

I still like my suggestions starting at post 101. Put a separation between hits and Karma but leave them linked such that Hits are still your income for being here. Leave those with huge K holdings - they've earned them. More items in the store and more fun things to do with Karma. Control inflation by controlling the conversion from Hits to Karma dependent on K removed from the system via the store or any other new means.

or do nothing about the karma system - but raise the price of store items.

Be more like the US government.
