galveston has a population of about 60K. during krappa weekend, it swells to a couple hundred thousand, this is a small island right off the coast of the texas. for the most part there is only one convenient way in or out. it is pure hell for the residents there. and to some extent, neighboring cities as well. it gets fucking crazy. they take over the entire area. its like spring break in florida. most people stay clear of it when possible. i use to work there, and instead of working on saturday as usual, we would have the weekend off. it was just to hard to get around town.
