I have a few things to say here:

1) Spy Wizard, STFU you're stupid. You're clearly still disturbed based on your abusive childhood. Nobody cares.
2) This douche of an ex is just purposely doing what he can to make your life (and those around him) hell. It must have been an enormous shot to his ego that you walked out on him. Now he's living with his Mommy. I bet he's a very angry and messed up person. Sounds like a complete waste of skin.
3) I hope you get things straightened out through the courts. If you are sole custodian (hope you win) then YES he is responsible for paying child support (fuck off to those here who don't agree).
4) I've been through a crappy divorce/custody thing but my ex didnt have a pot to piss in, didnt have any legal representation, no job, no decent family to support him, no car, no license, no bank account, no house. I too left him and I believe he still holds it against me 12 yrs later, but not nearly as bad as he did the first 5 yrs or so.

Who knows if it's fair? The court obviously decided it was fair based on everything presented to them. $12k is a fucking lot of money. More than we make here in this household in a month. You must be a fucking millionaire.

I was raised by a single mother, she worked all the time, she loved me, married a man to help her and he beat me almost every day.. good times for me, she thought she was doing what was best at the time and she was, she did all she could with what she had.

what would have been best is if she would have been alone and "independent" ..

ur clearly not in a good place to offer any substantial meaningful advice to V on this issue. No offense but it's kind of serious what she's going through and your past is clearly stampeding into the light here so back off dude. Life is fucking complicated, you can't paste your experiences and conclusions about how things should be done on other people. No Smurf...it's part of a settlement payment as well that lasts 4 years...I have to pay her this amount for 4 years and then I just pay child support...2860.00 month

Long time ago I was 19 when we met and I was not only stupid but I was careless and immature. I didn't start to grow up until I turned 30. I left him a few days after turning 30.
