It's sooo hard to prove infedelity bro...really hard...I never had any hard evidence...shitty deal! I only have 2 more years to pay..it's not alimony, it's a settlement payment. I don't pay alimony. Just whatever my net worth is. My brother is going through a divorce right now and it's way worse than mine...he was married for 14 years...

depending on the state you are in, infieldity doesn't factor into child support/alimony.
my BFF wife was in court with a baby bump from some other dbag, and bro still got hosed on every aspect of the settlement

so the woman could go get pregnant with another dude's baby and the guy was on the hook for what? not the child support payments right? telll me the court didn't make him pay for some other dude's kid...

no he didn't have to pay any of that.
but alimony, half his retirement, and the house...and she got knocked up by a bartender (my bff was a engineer at stryker med).
couldn't even bring up the infelidility at court it meant nothing

There are too many posts for me to answer individually. Here's the deal..


He is aggressive and can be abusive. It was mostly verbal but he did push me around a lot, strangled me a few times. I was with him since I was 16, the physical abuse didn't start until I had my second child. I stayed until he went after my oldest son, who was 12 at the time. He did not hit him, I got a baseball bat and pushed him out of the room. That's when I decided we were getting out.

It's been about a year and a half. I will not have that man raise my boys. He hasn't gotten aggressive with them at all since that one day. But he did attack his next door neighbors because they were "staring at him". He threatened th with a gun and the cops showed up with their guns drawn and put my now 14y/o on the ground cause he was standing outside. He fights, he lives with his parents and thinks he's entitled to being taken care of, he holds no value in education, he has a very poor work ethic, and he hangs out with known criminals. His brother, who also lives in the house is constantly in trouble with the cops. My boys come back home and dressing like thugs from his place. He raises them with an arrogance that will only hurt them as adults.

He agreed to pay me $600 a month but I haven't seen a dime. I'm going for full custody, I don't have a lawyer because I don't have the money. His response was to ask for full custody also. The custody hearing is in 3 weeks.

Have you contacted your local legal aid office? Legal aid attorneys provide free legal assistance to low income individuals. Your case would be a priority, as it involves child support/child custody and domestic violence. If you have a law school in your area, you could also probably get a free student attorney through the law school's legal clinic.

I was raised by a single mother, she worked all the time, she loved me, married a man to help her and he beat me almost every day.. good times for me, she thought she was doing what was best at the time and she was, she did all she could with what she had.

what would have been best is if she would have been alone and "independent" ..

I'm so so sorry to hear that. I won't allow any man to do that to my boys. I've been dating a man for a year and he has met my kids 3 times. I'm super protective.

My plan is to get a bacclutette in nursing (I'm already in the program)
I'm working as a CNA at a hospital to get the reimbursement for tuition, but it doesn't pay enough.
I will not depend on a man to take care of me ever. After what I've been thru I'll always have an exit plan.
I'm thinking about re activating my real estate license and trying to do some of that on the
side. Even one sale a year would help a lot. But the market is super tough here.

If my ex would pay child support, I could rent a small house and give the boys what they need.
