Hello ladies!!

Wow, I've been gone for awhile, huh? Sorry I haven't posted, I moved, got engaged, started a new job, yaddya yaddya...

I've been working out, but not like I have been when I was on the boards.

I have 8 weeks to my wedding with the following stats:

5'5''
140
19.7 (handheld bf tester)
27 waist

In your honest opinion, what should my %'s be to get to 14 %?

I wanna look HAWT in my dress AND at the beach!

Thanks ya'll, good to be back!

If you're serious & you have time w/ all the stress, wedding prep, etc. I'd drop into something like some competition prep and start the magic!

It may take a couple weeks to get whatever diet you end up following to kick in but I'd look at a pile of cardio (good hiit sessions), good lifting & a carb rotation diet - probably a 40/30/30 and then do a 3 day carb rotation within that.

I'm mega serious! I have no choice but to be tip top in my dress! I re-did my diet tonight and came up with 55%f, 31%p, and 15%c. Since I only have 8 weeks, isn't ketosis the way to go with 1/day a week carb up?

Honestly I haven't heard a lot about women running a CKD -- you might check the diet board a little more on that. Me personally - I fu&'in hate low carbing & the pain of getting into ketosis & trying to function until the next carb up just isnt' worth it. I swear by carb cycling and will continue to recommend it & use it in all my cutting cycles. I don't know about you, but on my 3-4 day of low carbing I get monumentally stupid & tired. This makes for screwing up my sleep schedule (want to nap all day, so you nap, then can't sleep at nite) and I have no energy to hit the gym hard. Personally I dont' see the point. I've cut down to less than 8% using carb cycling. I don't know what diet or whatever you've been following up to right now - if you haven't' been dieting and then start dieting, it always seems to take 2-3 weeks to get it to kick in so you have to be patient & not get frustrated. But when it starts, it does start. You would see some results w/ water dropped but the more important thing is that you want to set up an efficient fuel burning state. I just think CKD screws that and the cost of waiting to get to the carb up day is just pure misery. If I were you, I'd rather have the energy to get thru all the stress & prep instead of being tired all the time and having that affect your ability to focus on your wedding prep.

Well you know me. I say use some shortcuts.

SesaPure/Glucorell combo
Cardio Breeze for cardio

CKD is not necessary IMO and certainly a bad choice if you're going to train. Great if you're sedentary though.

Ugh! Someone at my gym told me to try CKD since I only have 8 weeks, said it was kinda the quickie way. Sassy, so you think I would get better results with your ideas? I'm ok with low carbs, it's really not a big deal to me since I'm always on the road working. I'm willing to try something else if you all think it's better.

Thanks ya'll!

Well like I said, if you run more than 4 days on really low carb (e.g. below 30g), you really start getting fuzzy in the brain & tired. That can affect your sleep & your energy levels. I just haven't heard of that many women doing CKD. Don't know why, just haven't. The carb rotation just seems to me to be optimal and doesn't put you through that.
