You're absolutely right. Heavy squatting with a hand placement that is too close is definitely contributing to my biceptis tendonitis. I would like to move my hands further out to alleviate the tendonitis but the power rack I use prevents this. I wish I could train on a monolift and things would be much easier. It's ironic that there is no pain when squatting. I get pain when working my upper body and, in particular, benching.

Just a quick heads up...but a lot of people suffer bicep tendonitis as a result of squatting with thier hands too close together. They tend to think it is from benching and it is their squat form causing it. Dont know if this is the case with you...but it is a possibility.
