Well, I've never had a problem with em before.....ever. I'm not even sure if they are the problem but i can't raise my arm fully in any direction without pain inside my shoulder......shit, I can't even do front raises with 25 lbs without some pain. I think I may have not warmed up enough while doing behind the neck military's but I can't pinpoint the cause. It's been at least a week with the discomfort.....how do I rehab em? I'm not gonna stop training, but I am willing to drop weight and raise the reps.

go see a PT... if you have permanent Rotor cuff damage, it may need surgery. I see alot of these injuries, (and torn ACL's) playing volleyball, year round. Most guys dont' recover and get their use back until surgery then they don't come back 100%. Good luck, I feel for ya bro!

Find out if you have a tear or otherwise need surgery. If not, find a good and tough Physiotherapist and let him or better her tear you up iuntil you are OK

QUIT UPPER BODY EXERCISES UNTIL YOU SEE A DOCTOR OT P.T.

You may do more damage by using your shoulders at all. I know because I turned a very minor injury (light impingement) into a more serious injury that required surgery. A doctor is going to order you to P.T. then if its not better in about a month he will order an MRI, because the one way of really knowing if its torn.

If you have good insurance then it won't be a big deal, if not this whole process will get very expensive, so I would suggest taking a month off upper body exercises and see if the injury heals on its own and then go from there.

Hope everything works out for you, if you need any other info p.m. me.

For now...
I'd say stop doing upper-body exercises and see a doc.

In the future...
ALWAYS warm-up your shoulders with arm rotations (high and low) as well as shrugs and shoulder rolls (with no weights). Then do the "raise the roof" motion.

STOP doing BTN Military presses. Many pro bodybuilders stop doing this exercise because the more advanced and built you become, the higher the chance of injury (probably due to angles, etc.).

I have lifted for over 6 months with a slight tear in the right RC

funny you should post this because I have my good weeks and then...what happend thur happens I wake up and can't move the damn thing..I take a week off and usally just fight throught it

I have learned which exercises are a no no

remember with an RC any movement backwards i.e. bb rows, t bar rows, seated rows... will cause little if any pain...

uprights rows, incline chest anything like that will kill you...I would suggest cutting out shoulders for now.,

also DECA and Winny can and may heal your RC if it gets really bad without surgery .... 10 week deca run and 12 week winny run has been suggested to me

Try alternating ice & heat first & see what that does for you. The ice helps me alot. And like the other guys said....warm em up real good (stretch) first before you work out. If it gets progressively worse, get an MRI done. That'll show you what's really going on in there. Good luck with it.

These guys are giving good advice. Stop useing it or you will REALLY fuck it up. I would also start on naproxen "aleve" at 500mg for 2 weeks. Just remember that you need to stop working it for awhile. If it starts feeling better don't start over working it again.
