I need a good equivalent to oats

Don't get my wrong, I love oats, but at the moment i'm consuming 2-3 cups a day. Apart from veggies this is pretty much my only carb source.

I'm comfortable with oats because they are tasty, convenient to have hot, and nutritionally good with slow digesting qualities.

Any ideas?

Vegetable soup - onion, garlic, broth. carrot, potato, celery, potato, peppers, black pepper, bay leaves.

boil then simmer.

You can also add coarse ground oats and bananas to your shakes. Tastes good.

look into some pseudograins like Quinoa, buckwheat etc. They are higher in protein than oats too. They cook up the same. I like to do 2 cups of buckwheat groats, with some cinnamon, chopped almonds, and some berries. Mighty tasty, good carbs, good fats, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, high quality protein...you can't go wrong.

Ezekial (sp?) Bread. It is a complete protein to boot. Google it.
That stuff is awesome. Quick, easy, and is very versatile. They now have it at my local store, for $3.49 which isn't much more than a GOOD loaf of wheat bread.

It's got a ton of fiber too. Very good if you're eating a lot of meats.
