pljay;
i just re-read your post where you ask what will happen if you convert to westside.
at first, your bench may go down. the most common mistake on westside is to do it AND the shit you normally do. I have done that.
The other mistake is to keep speed weight too heavy. You are an awesome bencher. You may not like having to go to the gym and using 235 lbs or so for your work. That is what George H. uses (plus shitloads of bands). That's why i train in the basement of my house. I can put the fucking bar on with 10 mini bands and bench with it, and I am the king

Nobody fucking asks me anything stupid. You will just have to develop thicker skin.
I am not sure what happens to your raw bench. Apparently, some westside followers go raw every once in awhile. I think George does NOT use a shirt inside the gym on most ME days unless he is trying out new gear. Post on elitefts and ask.
Are you guaranteed never to get injured: no. anytime you are pushing 600+ in a contest, even with denim, there is that chance. But I think by not repping with heavy weights week in and week out, you are limiting the amount of micro-tearing that is going on, and thereby lessening your chances of serious injury.
I know that when I first started seeing my massage lady, she was seriously appalled by the amount of scar tissue I had on both sides of my chest, in my pecs and shoulders. I used to be able to feel it too. It was nasty. Now, there is a serious reduction in the amount there.
Good luck brother, whatever you decide to do. It's like russian roulette. everytime you get a mini injury like you did the other day, you are flipping the cartridge again.
