How many grams of fat would be OK???

I'm currently in the process where I want to shed fat. I'm eating low calories and low carbs. I'm also eating low in sodium but high in protein. But what about fat? What should I NOT exceed in grams per day to maximize fat lose?? No more than 40grams per day? 50? 60???? Also take into consideration that I'm taking Lecithin which is 1gram of fat per capsule and I'll probably be taking CLA and r-ALA.

Without your stats there is NO general number out there...

do it this way for simplicity
weight x 12
take that number x .3
take the outcome / 9
= daily intake of fat

so if I'm 200lbs.
200 x 12 = 2400
2400 x .3= 720 cal
720/9 = 80 g fat per day (30%fat intake).

I too weigh exactly 200lbs. But my daily consumption (except for weekends :-) ) of fat is more like a total of 50grams a day. Is this OK? Remember, I'm trying to shed a tiny bit of fat.

Just increase it a bit to 80, so you're at least getting 30% fat in your diet.

Is that like eating low carbs or NO carbs for a few days and then blasting the body with carbs?

yes it's eating low-carbs and then refeeding, I suggest you first read about it before jumping into it.

I eat pretty low carbs on the weekdays. I say no more than 130grams a day. And on the weekends I probably double that.

Mr. X is the "*12 method" you are using for someone who works out 5 times a week?

Assuming you're dieting to stay lean/cutting, yes this method would work 5x/wk.
