Hormone Test Kits/Services

I am interested in getting a good hormone screening just to check a few things.

The full screening by a Doctor is difficult (with my current insurance) and also getting him to agree to run a good scan of a bunch of things would be diffiuclt as well.

I want to use one of those "saliva testing" services.

Are these valid? Are the results accurate?

Do they measure free or bound test? Both?

Does anyone have any recommendations of where to get these kits from?

Hhhmmm, all I know is that on another thread a bro said he got a kit in the mail (saliva test) sent it back and got the results.

I think he said it cost $400 or so.

Try a search for saber sciences and that should find it for ya.

I was the one who posted about having the SabreSciences test done. Looks like they just kinda changed their website so it doesn't say much about the saliva tests. The cost is $200. Just call them and they will set you up. From what I researched, saliva is a pretty decent way to measure the hormones they look at in this panel. (Test, Cortisol, electrolytes, DHEA). Plus instead if a "snapshot" look ith one blood draw, you get 6 measurements over a 24 hour period with the saliva method which gives you much more info.

Give 'em a call, and ask them about the accuracy of thier tests, and see what exact cost is.

i just found this test kit and it is only 40 bucks to test just for testosterone and another 20 for each additional thing you would like to test for. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/med/androcheck.html
