Homemade weightgainer shakes?

hoaxey

New member
Recently i discovered the joys of home made weightgainer shakes, (2 scoops whey, 2 tbps peanut butter, 400ml milk, 1 cup of berries) as they taste so much better, so much more kcal, more protein, and seems to be CHEAPER and healthier than that processed weightgainers. I usually make 3 shakes in the morning, put them in 1L water bottles, and put them in the fridge, for the rest of the day to make it more convienent. But other day i was thinking, what IF i make enough of them to last me for 4 days, at once, take them all to work, and put them in a fridge there? Might sound like a daft question to some, but will whey itself still be effective?

Also is it alright if i use home made gainer, straight after workout? or should i just buy of tub of company made one, to keep, take after workouts, for better absorption.. etc?

Home made gainers are 10 times better than the onse you buy at store, atleast you know whats inside and it is alot cheaper.

Try adding grinded oatmeal, good source of carbs can calories. Grind the oatmeal with a coffee grinder and then add 1/2 cup to your shake.

Also, try adding olive oil or flax seed oil, good for your joints and general health and adds 120 calories per tsp.

Another suggestion is to add splenda for taste.
