I don't know if anyone has asked this yet, but have you considered finding out if anyone on here is from your location? It might be nice to have a workout buddy, and I'm sure many of the ladies and guys on here would be happy to help since you do seem so motivated. I am from Columbus, Ohio and would be glad to help if you are around here :D .

sorry!

Yeah, that is where I am.

I'm sorry, I never saw this thread.

Work has picked up and I am out of town (with no internet access) more often than I would like.

But I bought the BFL book and did some modifications to the routine based on that. Last week I worked out six days. The days I could not get to the gym I either did walking/running outdoors or worked out with my grandfather's 11 lb weights he gave me -- in my hotel room, LOL! I have found that lying catty corner on a hotel bed with my head on the corner makes a good substitute for a weight bench.

The diet stuff is harder, tho. I have to eat out a lot being away from home. But the protein bars are definitely helpful!! I also bought some shake today, so we'll see ... (I am afraid it is going to be nasty!)

The good news: I feel like a can do a bit more than what I was doing. My hamstrings are able to do 3 times more weight than I was doing.

The bad news: My quads are able to do 3 times more than that. :( Plus when I try to do 40 lbs on my hamstrings they CRAMP frightfully (and PAINFULLY!). So I just keep doing more reps on 30. Also I added calf raises based on the BFL book, and my calves are S-O-R-E!!!!

"Ouch."

I don't know how I would feel about having a workout buddy. I am so behind just about everybody else I see on here that I would slow the person down I think, plus I see an awful lot of "body fat, body fat, body fat ... looks, looks, looks" on here. I know a lot of people do shows and I respect that, but I have different goals and I would not want a relationship with a training buddy who was trying to get me into goals that I am not ready for/don't want to do. Plus I am locked into a contract with a women's gym for another whole year, and if the person didn't go there that might be tough.

But I do appreciate the advice and will keep checking back with you folks. I hope that all here are doing well.

troll -- I'll pm you... I've been interested in the messages you've posted and I'd like to hear how you're doing. I'm also a compulsive eater and I've read the Overcoming Overeating book. Chat witcha later!
