Help with low carb diet

Hey Bro,

at 20% bf DON'T cheat. Guys shouldn't 'cheat' until they're sub-10%- there's absolutely no reason, physiologically speaking, to stuff yourself full of crap.

I get that you're eating low carb, but where's the fish/fish oil? If you hit a plateau, especially at 3k calories, first thing I'd do is make SURE you're eating 3k calories. if this is the case- drop some fat. Cheese isn't necessary. drop fats by 500 calories and see what happens. if this doesn't work, run longer

A Cheat meal/refeed is vital imo. Its not "stuffing yourself full of crap". Its increasing the complex carbs to around 300-400g and dropping the fats down to a minimum for the day. The whole point of the refeed is so that the a) it sets your metabolism on fire and speeds it up and b) to make the body think that its getting enough food to work sufficiently, so it throw your body into starvation mode.

Hey Bro's, a little update for you. I took some advice and dropped my fat's down. Instead of having 2 "regular" brats @ roughly 27g of fat I replaced them with a low fat, zero carb turkey brat which is only 3g of fat. I also replaced the string cheese with a low fat version. I also have been doing a "good" refeed day once per week in which I eat good complex carbs and drop the fat way down. I have dropped another 5 lbs since my last post - maybe it was a plateau or something but either way thanks to everyone for their advice:D. I am going to Mexico next week so hopefully I can have a little restraint over my diet!!

i suggest carb cycling hands down. if youre 10% bodyfat, refeed every 4th day. if youre over 10% refeed once every 7 days. Carb cycling is not difficult unless you make it difficult. you can stay with your diet now with the high amount of fats for the low days, then on your refeed, take out ALL fats (except for trace amount found in your protein sources), and add in complex and high gi carbs (rice, pasta, bread, potatoes, oats) if its fat free and sugar free (or very low sugar like 2 grams or less) then eat it. proteins+fats= no carbs, protein+carbs=no fats. sound good??
