Help for my mom

does she have access to computer? I knowthat this site here keeps me extremely motivated.
She can start a journal too, people will help with the exercise, eating and moral support.
She can share her feelings too and we will listen.
It is probably very hard for her not having your dad around, I can only imagine. I lost my mom and i am happy that my dad has a gf that gisves him support.
Life is not easy, losing someone you love hurts, a pain that never goes away but we all learn to live with it.
Encourage your mom to open a journal in the site, i think it will be very helpful to her.
She is lucky to have a ddaughter like you, that even miles away cares about her, that is how it should be.
Wish you both the best, and never give up on her.

Thanks for the kind words, she does have access to a pc but not regularly, internet access is a bit slow and expensive back home. Im actually her son, well the last time i checked
Family have to stick together in my mind, for some ppl its all they have.

Are there any veg or fruit she needs to avoid? In south africa there is just about every fruit and veg you can think of, so that is no issue.

No, there shouldn't be. However, I prefer all the berries as they're antioxidants. Just be more prudent with papaya, mango, bananas, etc as they have lots of calories and sugar. I'm not saying not to have them, just don't go wild with it. Vegetables are all good!

What does her exercise consist of? I assume she is using the resistance equipment? I'd be glad to help with her workouts - sometimes making a few small changes can make worlds of difference. I work with a lot of ladies her age.
