Getting Fatter

Blue Star

New member
weighed myself earlier to find that my current weight stands at 12 stones 7lbs. I have been out of training for a long time due to injuries. I was going to go straight into weightlifting but I think I will just stick to cardio and aim to lose some bodyfat first. Also, my back is becoming more and more stiffer. I have concluded that the weight gain must be linked.

Anyway, I am going to try do solid 5 days cardio. I need to have some sort of diet plan. I know there's different views on whether to eat before or after cardio etc. However, I am likely to be doing mine in the mornining. I normally don't have breakfast. However, will a banana and apple be fine. I've got the whey shake on order.

I'm going to try my utmost to sort my diet out. Therefore, any tips will be appreciated.

Thanks

Not much info to go on. How much fat do you want to lose? What are you eating now? What is your cardio/training experience? So many questions to ask given such minimal info. My advice is to start with less and add as needed. Jumping right into 5 days cardio from being fat and untrained will shock your system in some good ways, but maybe more bad. I lost my first 10 pounds just with diet, 1 month, then another 10 adding 2 days cardio, 1 month, another 7 pounds ditching cardio adding weight training 2 times a week, 1 month, Now I've changed my diet, bringing cardio back 2 days, and lifting 3 days. Slow and steady.

You want to weight train....the more muscle you have the more calories your body must burn to maintain them.......do cardio everyday for 45 min........eat 6+ small meals with high protein, low carbs, low fat, very low sugar, drink tons of water and sleep for at least 8 hours......weight train mon, tue, thur, fri........Trust me, you will get lean doing this......fast too...

you have to do all three: weight train, DIET and cardio. (read the sticky at the top about the 50lbs, if it worked for me, it will at least give you some ideas).
