I got to get mine growing. been doing everything I think would work. what bout you guys? anyone bring the bar to your collar bone for incline? I'm gonna try it next o just can't get mine to pop like I need it to.

Hm ok ill try that put I usually do the 45degree but hey I obviously need to do something diff. Thx bro

I get a lot more upper chest growth from it being lowered. It takes a lot of the movement off your shoulders and more to your upper chest..

My problem here too. I see my lower/mid chest growing but upper not so much (kinda looks like a ramp instead of a boulder like I'd want). Doing Madcows (Bill Starrs) 5x5 but doing military press instead of incline since bench is already done twice a week but in thinking of maybe switching it. I don't know though....thoughts?

I flat bench to my throat, and do 3 levels of incline press, all to my throat. I get a lot of comments in the gym about how I am going to hurt my shoulders blah blah but have been doing this for a while now with appropriate (light) weight. I save my heavy presses for incline barbell.

I see lots of people with overdeveloped lower chest and to be honest, it looks funny.

Yeah I had a buddy of mine with a full upper chest and he told me to try that so I'm gonna pro try it out today. I'm thinking of trying a pre exhaust approach to try it out to take my shoulders out of it .

Heavy incline bench 5 reps x 4 sets. Finish with high rep incline db press 20 reps x 4 sets.

That's kinda what I've been doing and it just hasn't been working thanks though I'm sure it's easier for others but my body is diff

Dumb bells have always worked best for me on an incline press. I get a much more focused motion and squeeze in the pecs. Not too much of an angle though. Like 30 degrees from parallel to the floor.

I hate barbell incline press. I use barbell only ever on a flat motion. I also do dumb bell flat press too. I switch between dumbbells and barbell every 6 to 8 weeks.

+1 on the dumb bells. Get a much better stretch at the bottom and press up and in like a sort of fly motion - with the squeeze at the end - and don't lockout.

I used to never be able to make my chest sore without doing flyes and now I don't even do flyes any more.

Lately I've been watching people who I think have an impressive physique and seeing what they do, and asking them questions.

Yeah I've been trying db press to. and I think I might try an go a little lighter and try and squeeze the upper part more vs press heavy weight
