ez curl vs straigh bar for biceps

Absolutely no difference. . . .the ez bar is designed to help eliminate stress off of the wrist. Other than that a curl movement is a curl movement.

The weird thing is that a ez curl bar fucks with my wrists for some reason...I just don't feel right holding it with heavy weight. I'll take the straight bar anyday.

I find the eZbar much more comfortable on my wrist. However, i do strait bar and remove stress by holding the bar with my grip way out wide. I feel that this also changes the angle that i am doing the curl in a slightly different way, so i feel that curling with eZbar and the strait bar are variations on the same exercise.

Also, on the Ezbar i can have a narrow grip sometimes for more variation.

From what I understand, the EZ curl bar on the wide grip has the wrist supinated to a degree, which takes the stress off the bicep muscle, similar to what a hammer curl does

Same here. Weird indeed. So I do seated preacher's with a 30lb straight bar, alternate with standing hammer curls.

straight bar hurst my wrists....here's a question: ez bar close or wide grip?

From what i have been told, close grip emphasizes the more lateral part of the bicep, and wide grip emphasizes the more medial part of the bicep. How true this is? I don't know.
