Erectors vs. lats

as far as my back goes, I would like to have large wings, not to be overshadowed by large erectors, but I still like doing deads. so far, my outer lats are showing up pretty good, but the middle of my back, you can't see any delineation of my lats. I think my erectors are taking over! what exercises would incorporate larger lats vs. erectors?

Your erectors are heavily involved during dead lift. Squats also do involve them a lot. Rows are great for thickness and overall back mass, but they will involve your erectors to some degree. If you want to just concentrate on your lats do different variations of chins and pull ups or pull downs. They will work strictly on you lat with(or thickness if you go close grip) with minimal emphasis on your erectors. For your middle back do rows. I would recommend t-bars, bent-over or one-arm bent over rows. You can also do cable rows, just try to have the cable set a bit higher if you are trying to target your middle back. For a full back you should all of these lifts though.
