ephedrine hindering gains (pt2)

Reagrding the post about ephedrine hindering gains, I was going to ask a similar question.
I've been on low doses of dexedrine (an amphetamine, duh!) for years now and was wondering how this would effect performance w/ lifting...
Am I correct in assuming that ephedrine and dexedrine would hinder gains by using excessive amounts of glycogen, thus giving me less energy to lift at high intensity?
 
May be, it's all about right timing? For food, and for ephedrine...
I don't know, how you, guys use it, but I use Ephedrine for more then 6 years and it always worked great for me. Sometimes, I couldn't drag my ass to gym, no matter what, but Ephedrine helped...
It also, gave me much greater concentration and aggression during workouts.
May be misuse of it can cause hinder of gains... but not the actual thing.
 
panerai - what dose do you use and for how long? i find the "kick" from the ephedrine stops after a few weeks of continued use. i gotta get off it for a while before it starts to give me that kick again. same for caffeine. i usually take 200mg caffeine + 25mg ephie, up to 3x a day.
 
My thoughts on ephedrine are this:
When bulking, bodybuilders generally take in more calories than their bodies require. If a bulking bodybuilder is on an eca stack, this caloric bonus will have a much harder time being deposited as fat. This results in a bodybuilder having the necessary additional calories present in the body to put on lean musle mass, but it also allows one to make great strides in overall body composition, by adding muscle without adding excess amounts of fat.
