Drummer greats in action (vids)

I think I'm gay for Dennis Chambers. His work with Greg Howe is so goddamn gooooooood.

Oh, and the Purdie Shuffle is so damn catchy. I don't know why either.

I've heard Dennis has never studied music, which seems odd considering he's a top jazz player. I don't quite believe. :whatever:

Purdie was the man, and still is. Jeff Porcaro is only one who could give us a shuffle as good as Purdie's, and he's dead.

Buddy Rich said the same thing, that he was never trained. He thought that studying would make him worse, haha. Go fig.

I've always appreciated dudes like Harvey Mason that could lay some killer complex stuff down without overshadowing the music.

Plus that song is pretty good and Larry Carlton plays like Wes which is always cool.

Good players in Fourplay. I have few of their CD's. Nathan East is cool player. More famous of his touring with Clapton and Collins.
