Drexx Contest Results

This post started 3 months ago.

I wish I looked like that now :)

48 hours after the show I was up 12lbs and maintained that for about 11 weeks without any gear.

After almost 3 months off gear I just started another cycle 2 weeks ago and I am already up 9lbs.

Can't wait to compete again.

You've got my respect, Drexx. Excellent work -- can't wait to see you compete again. Congrats to you both. Sorry I missed this post the first time around!

I remember the June 14th Ottawa's in 1997 quite well. You must know Rob Lagana, he won the heavyweights and overall that year. He's from the Ottawa area.
So you won the middleweights and overall? If I remember right you had either blue or green trunks on. You had a nice athstetic physique with a small waist.
The heavyweights were HORRID. They looked like a bad junior division.
Are you doing a level 2 show? The same promoter, Craig Stevenson is having the Kingston And Eastern Championships on Oct 20. Level 1 and 2. Are you going to check it out?

I first met Rob in 1994 in my first show. I had no idea what I was doing and just walked to compete for the first time in the juniors as a 17yr old. Rob won the show at 20yrs old and he wa a very nice guy. One of the friendliest bodybuilder I have ever met. He doesn't compete any more but he is still in shape from what I have heard. He looked very good in 1997.

Thanks for the compliment. I was in the blue trunks at the finals.
Currently those are my strong points but I'm focasing my off season on getting a big and as thick as possible and maintain the waist as much as I can ( meaning no roid gut ).

>The heavyweights were HORRID. They looked like a bad junior >division.

The overall turn out wasn't as good as previouos Ottawa competitions. I would say other then the middleweight and fitness divisions the atheletes were not ready for the competition or they didn't prepare well enough.

I'm dieting for the East. Ont right now ( holy shit!!! , less then 7 weeks out.... ) and I will see what happens there. Just like the Ottawa I'm going to do the best I can and learn as much as I can. After that whatever happens will happen.

Cheers...

Right on..Good luck there. I have a few friends doing the level one show. I did the Level 2 show light heavies back in '98 at the easterns there.
Also the Windsor Cup and Ottawa 97' Juniors. Overall though the Windsor was the best most competitive show, and huge turnout.

Drexx, your side chest looks thick and full as your arms do also, the only thing I really see wrong is your hams and calves and your overall condition is a little watery, but this is in no way a flame,I have yet to enter my first comp, but I do know a good deal about it,All I got to say your ass had to go through the diet, posing and all the rest of contest prep and all your work paid off, congratulations and the best to you in future contest!

P.S congrats to you to RoNIN for the overall, good job

Thanks , Hey FlexBailey , are you the guy who qualified for the Provincials but backed out because of a pec tear?

I think I know who you are , I have seen pictures of you in the newsletters. If you are the guy I think you are I want you to know that I'm very impressed with your physique and you are an inspriation. I have had pictures of a "Bailey" up as a target to shoot for when I'm getting ready to compete. Great conditioning and shape , I would like to know who you prepeare for competitions and what your off season is like?

Yep, that was me. Unfortunately I blew my pec out in may of '99. I was planning on doing the 2000 Ontarios after putting on alot more size but I obviously didn't get a chance to.
I did get the surgery though a year ago and things are looking better. My pec though still isn't 100%. I'm weighing in at 230 pounds and rising.
My qualifications have been stripped since I haven't competed in the 2 years time line so I want to do the Ottawa level 1 next year.
It REALLY sucks that I have to do level 1 again, it's not really fair seeing as i won everyshow I did with a perfect score and spent so much time and effort on each show not to mention money.
I'm actually better now in alot of aspects..like my shoulders caps are getting better and better and legs as well. My overall shape is better I think and all the muscles except my chest have taken on a more mature look.
I stopped the juice as soon as I tore my pec until a year and a half later when I got the surgery. i still haven't done any major cycles as I'm not really big on the sauce. I won that junior show drug free and had never touched any steroids before. I did do clen however.
I'm very strict with my offseason diet. I eat and upwards of about 4500 cals..with about 60% of it coming from protein and about 30% from carbs and the rest fat. I have one junk day as most do.

I was really impressed with your physique when I saw it..I'm personally a big fan of athstetics and shape. That is what I pride my physique on.
I wanted to go pro as I had alot of important people telling me I had/have the potential to..I just need this pec to heal up.

I guess we'll see..
