do u need cardio to cut

I'm a freak - I actually like cardio. All that oxygen rushing in and out gives me a high that lasts all day :D I only do it 4x a week, and rarely more than 30-40 minutes. I probably would hate it if I did more. That aside, doing cardio helps your body burn more calories even after cardio. Plus, if you do cardio, you can eat more, and eating more raises your metabolism as well.

Im gald you brought that up...urban legend has it you burn more cals throughout the day after cardio, and a lot of people think they can *feel* it, since they are hungry after they do some cardio, they did a study on that, and ONLY after a bout of HIIT and HIIT cardo only, metabolism was elevated and more calories were burnt for a little while after the cardio, and even then it was very little.....another fact, cardio actually lowers your body temp after doing it, many people might consider that bad, becaise lower core body temp= slower metabolism, thats why some people actually pop ECA *after* they do some cardio...

Yep, that's what I've been reading. Weight training is SUPERIOR for fat loss (along with diet of course). Cardio is overrated.

because most people are lazy with their diet, or they just would prefer to eat more and do less cardio, like me. i also have shit genetics so i have to do cardio to cut up.

I don't get it? Then why does most fitness and BB do tons of cardio precontest?

the best is to do both cardio AND Weight training

Weight training helps elevate your metabolism for hours
cardio is also good for your cardiovascular system

Cardio is extremely overrated and ineffective for long term fatloss. Weightlifting, proper diet, and calorie intake are much more important for low bodyfat. To answer your original question, no you don't need cardio to cut.
