Diet for gaining weight

I also have another question. I see alot of bodybuilders and athletes cooking their own food, which is something I don't know how to do, is there any types of food that I could eat that doesn't require too much cooking or any places I can go eat out at?

You're pretty screwed on that one bro lol most foods cooked in fast food are full of shit. Everything on my foods list requires cooking, baking ect.... You need to learn to cook bro, cheaper and healthier than eating out.

Steak, chicken, fish and veggies are available at most every restaurant. With some effort and self control on your part you can eat mostly clean. Its just going to be more costly.

Cooking the foods we eat isn't hard. Just cook as much as possible ahead of time. Im making food tonight for the next 2 days. All I have to do is turn on my grill throw 3lbs of meat on it, boil some brown rice, and steam a bunch of green beans on the stove. This will get me 3 meals a day for the next 2 days so I only have to cook 2 more a day and that's eggs for me so that takes 5 minutes to cook

Cooking isn't hard, watch a few videos on how to properly use a knife, clean produce/meat.

Don't try frying with olive oil cuz it smokes, low heat for olive oil.
Things like onions, garlic, salt, fresh pepper n some herbs go a long way in flavoring food- try to make stirfrys- they are a great way to get in calories, are very versatile and taste great.

Also on the pizza topic, MAKE YOUR OWN.
The trader joes by me sells whole wheat pizza dough that makes a medium sized pizza for a little over a dollar. Buy some tomato sauce that you like, some low fat or full fat natural cheese (not the processed crap), and grill up some chicken, or sautée some ground beef, and veggies and boom! A lot of carbs, protein, and fats.

Veggies include spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, (maybe broccoli?)
Go cheddar cheese if you go the ground beef route- like a take on a philly cheesesteak.

If you're a real hard gainer I would eat as healthy as possible during the day and then when the clock is running out before bed I cram "junk food". I've heard it referred to as a "dirty bulk". Only hard gainers really can get away with it. Look, I know it isnt ideal bodybuilding food but when it comes down to it, you need to get as many calories as possible, and because (for me at least) its hard to keep eating when you might not be that hungry, it helps to eat something delicious like pizza ( or my favorite something sweet chased with a ton of milk). Again, if you're metabolism is anything like mine, pizza won't make you fat. In fact I just ate a half of one from costco this afternoon.

Include more protein foods to improve your weight and muscles.
