Deciding if the time is right for my first cycle

so here's where im at....

im 29, 5'11", 225ish, bf ~18%

I have been training on and off for 5+ years, but have been seriously back and dedicated for the past 4 months. My lifts continue to progress, i'm doing starting strength (not at all a beginner, but years of neglecting major compound movements like squats and deads made this a great choice for me).

my stats are as follows
squat 3x5 255
dead 1x5 325
OHP 3x5 155
Bench 3x5 230
Power Clean 5x3 175

I have my diet pretty good, get close to 4000cal/day, 200g protein/day

My problem is that i store fat in the worst places. i am really happy with the way that i look with the exception of terrible love handles and estrogenic fat on my pecs and to the side of my pecs causing the appearance of gyno tho i really have no tenderness/bumps under my nipple or if i do its negligible.

So here's where i'm going. I really want to do a cycle. Never have before. I have been reading for the past two months and have a pretty good idea of what i want to take and the sides, dosing, PCT, on cycle, etc.

Here's what it would look like

w 1-12 Test E 300-500mg/wk
w 1-12 arimidex .25mg ed

PCT

Clomid 100/100/50/50
Nolva 40/40/20/20
HCG Starts immediately but at what levels?

Thinking about throwing in var at 40mg/day but wouldnt know when.

My goals are to get a little bigger and a lot leaner. Hence the consideration given to var, and to only doing 300mg/wk test e vs 500. I want to start July 1, so i would have 6 months of very sold training under my belt and years on and off.

So here are my questions:

Should i wait to do a cycle? again it will be my first
If i can do one, should i just do the test, or can i include the var?
How much test?
Hows my PCT?
Arimidex on cycle?
Anything else on Cycle?
How much and when should i do the HCG?

These are the questions that i can think of now.

Honestly I have tried it and I dont think juice helps a person get leaner. I just got even more muscular. But cycles are fun. I would get a year of total dedication in before hand. Go ahead and get everything you need now then when you start there is no stress.

i plan to get errything now. i sorta figured i should have a year of full commitment in but im just so damn impatient. im glad i posted this though. hopefully more ppl agree with you.

any thoughts on the var+test vs test only cycle?

I haven't done var but test will put on 15 to 25 lbs on first cycle. Long eater takes awhile to grow then bam your really big.
 
I'd run 500mg/week when the time is right. How much you gain is really dependant on your diet. But I'd get the bodyfat down to around 12% if it were me. I've cycled around 15% before and got a lot bigger but didnt like the way I looked as much as even being off cycle at 11-12%. In your position, I'd get the bodyfat down over the next 6 months or so and then run this:

Test 500mg/week 1-12
Var 60mg/day Some like the run it in the beginning, some at the end. Up to you

Oh and have the Adex or Aromasin on hand
 
It sounds like you've done your research, but I think it's all wrong.

Whatever flaws you have now, you'll have on juice. Whatever responds poorly, will respond poorly on juice. It just helps muscle growth more. It doesn't fix inherent genetic limitations.

I know people recommend test for a first cycle. I think it's the worst choice. Start with someone less supressive like primo or var or t bol.

I hate clomid more than a splinter in my eye. I hate clomid more than a splinter in my dick. HCG, dex and supps are the way to go for PCT.

I also think you can make great gains with just the right supps . BIG BLAST, UNLEASHED, BRIDGE, even the Better Bars will give you size and strength like you've never experienced before.

So what I'm saying is, don;t expect steroids to be the answer to everything. Don't start off with suppressive compounds when you can do well with mild ones. And if you want to make progress, there are lots of ways of going about it.

I will have the adex on hand without a doubt. as i mentioned i was planning to run it on cycle.

Thanks very much for your thoughts. I have gone back and forth on this numerous times between starting with a primo or var or a t bol or just going right for a test cycle my first time.

heres where i keep getting hung up: everyone says that test should be the base of every cycle which makes sense to me because even with "milder" orals like var or t bol i understand that there is still suppression and i just dont want my dick to stop working. Also, test is the shit that is in your body so it makes sense to just have more of it and see what happens.

that said, truthfully i would like to start out with just var or a t bol or a primo to see the type of results and then decide if im ready to go to test, see how my body reacts to aas, etc. Again, i have just been completely brainwashed by this site and others telling me you have to run test in every cycle.

since you have been so generous to comment on my thread i thought that i would ask you directly:

i took this from another thread i hope you dont mind but would you recommend something like this for my first cycle instead? Its yours obv


WEEK ONE
DAY ONE sust 250mg, day 3 primo 100mg, day 5 primo 100mg, day 7 primo 100mg. 25 of d-bol in divided doses per day.

WEEK TWO
Test cyp or enanthate 100mg, day 10 primo 100mg and day 12 primo 100mg, day 14 primo 100mg. 25 of winny per day

WEEK THREE
day 16 primo 100, day 18 primo 100, day 20 primo 100 and day 22 primo 100 and also anavar 25 per day

Notice how the cycle uses weaker orals as the weeks go on and the non aromatizable and weker primo . This is to limit inhibition to some degree AND also to limit water gain for good post cycle lean tissue realization

WEEK FOUR ...OPTIONAL
25 of proviron for 5 days and only in the am. This is to help with sex drive, prevent estrogen back lash and act as a mild form of a taper. 25 mg only done in the am is not very inhibitory. I like its ability to ward off estrogen rebound post cycle.

if not what would you recommend? also are the test injections just one on the first day of the week?
