Dealing with injury...

Recently I did something to my arm/shoulder, feels like rotator cuff injury. Tried to hit the weights but that is basically impossible right now. Any advice on how to deal with this (mentally, mostly). I will still do my lower body and cardio, but I fear I might have to leave the weights alone for at least 2 weeks! This sucks and its gonna kill me.

you gotta do what you gotta do. If lifting weights is something you see yourself doing 10-20 years from now...the time off is what you need.

thanks lodid, good reading. have'nt seen a doctor yet, so I think I'll just not move the friggin arm for a week or two and see if rest helps. if not, then I'll have to see a doc then confront this thing head on.

I have been there, Just recently had surgery to reattach my bicep tendon at the shouder. It was a complete tear. It was 8 weeks before I came out of the sling, 3 more weeks before I started lifting VERY light weights with my physical therapist, curls, shrugs, tricep push downs. I'm talking about doing hammer curls with 3 and 5 pound db's. and 6 MONTHS before I could do any sort of pressing, IE bench, shoulder, etc.. So I spent a large portion of that time doing cardio and working legs. It got boring as hell, but I managed to stay busy.

Good luck.
