Deadlifts and wearing gloves

looks like we have differing opinons. I'll get some gloves and straps and try them individually. Either that or I'm going to buy a file and file down a bar to make it smoother or some shit.

Thanks for the input.

The alternating grip seemed to help me. I needed straps before I went to the alt. grip.

Problem with straps is the loss of the great forearm workout. But I must use straps when lifting over 550.:(

I use straps on my higher weights. I don't like the alternating grip technique, so I am forced to use straps if I go 500 and above.

I totally know what you're talking about. I do sumo deadlifts and the alternating grip messes me up big time.

This border's on obsessive/compulsive.

the alternate grip is no good if you are a bodybuilder..it messes up the symmetry and shape of your traps big time

Oh boy, we got a bunch of glove-wearing pansies.

Chalk only, spank you very much.

I find a mixed grip find for sumos.

Mrmuscle- if you are real concerned about the symetry problems just switch hands each set or each workout.

Calousses are cool! Leave the gloves for the girls and the pretty guys.
